COVINO, Julia A. (Trodella) of Stoneham and Florida, June 22, 2011 at age 83. Beloved wife of the late Louis J. Covino. Devoted mother of L. David Covino and his partner Cheryl Blomgren of Fiskdale, Donald Covino and his wife Teri of FL and Doreen (Covino) McNeill and her husband Wayne of Stoneham. Mother-in-law of Maryellen Covino of Worcester. Cherished grandmother of Christopher and his wife Laurie, Melissa, Donald, Matthew, Alicia and Mark. Great grandmother of Michael. Dear sister of her twin Jean Decker and the late Phyllis Fava and Dr. George Trodella. Loving daughter of the late Pellegrino and Mary (Carbone) Trodella. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A graduate of Framingham State College, Julia worked as a Dietitian and Educator at several local hospitals. A longtime resident of Stoneham, her father, Benny Trodella, a well known cobbler, and her mother Mary, a professional seamstress, both operated their respective businesses at the Trodella Building on Main St. Stoneham, which they built in 1954. She settled in Winchester where she raised her 3 children and entered the restaurant management business. Julia later worked for the Stop & Shop companies for 12 years. She retired in 2007 to enjoy life and family. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Julia's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Please honor Julia by making donations in her memory to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 60 Walnut St # 102 Wellesley, MA 02481-2103 and to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Massachusetts Affiliate, 89 South St # Ll01 Boston, MA 02111-2611.
