Juliette M. Desmond

Juliette M. Desmond died quietly in her sleep on June 12, 2009 at the age of 102 at Heritage at Falmouth, MA. She is survived by her sons, Robert J. Desmond and his wife Lorraine of Falmouth, MA and Richard J. Desmond and his wife Elise of Milton, MA as well as daughters-in-law Helen V. Desmond of Litchfield, NH and Denise C. Desmond of Marshfield, MA. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, John L. Desmond, sons Lawrence G. Desmond and Paul A. Desmond and a daughter Eileen J. Downing.





Mrs. Desmond was born in St. Prosper in the province of Quebec and educated at the Sacret Heart Academy in Jackman, ME. For 71 years she lived and raised her family in Reading, MA where she was active in the Community Fund, Cub Scouts and Winchester Hospital Charities and was an active member sponsoring educational programs at St. Agnes parish and later in the formation of St. Athanasius parish.





A Funeral Mass celebrating Juliette's life will be held on Tuesday at 11am in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family prior to the Mass from 8:30-10:30 in the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
