June E. (Hansen) Pottle

June E. (Hansen) Pottle, of Tewksbury, formerly of North Reading for 62 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 14th, 2026. She was 90 years of age.

June devoted every breath of her life to her family and friends, pouring love into the world in a way that felt effortless. Kindness wasn’t something she tried to give; it was simply who she was. She had a light about her—a gentle glow—that made people feel seen, welcomed, and safe.

She was the stay‑at‑home mom who genuinely loved having a house full of kids. Neighborhood children naturally gravitated to our home, drawn in by the warmth she created. They knew they were loved there. Many even called her their second mom, and she embraced that role with open arms.

June lived with a spirit of involvement and generosity. Whether she was helping with Girl Scouts, cheering on the Rainbow Girls, or supporting Bob’s Masonic activities, she showed up fully—always giving more than she ever asked for in return.

And June’s creativity was another way she shared her heart. Through knitting, card making, and countless little handmade touches, she found ways to make people feel special. Every stitch, every card, every crafted detail carried a piece of her love.

June didn’t just live a life; she shaped the lives around her. She made people feel held. She made them feel home.

June is the beloved wife of the late Robert Pottle. She is the cherished mother of Reba Pottle, Lisa Pottle - Bass and her late husband Patrick and the late Steven Pottle and his surviving wife Nancy Morales, nephew Craig Hallstrom and his wife Kathy Hallstrom. Loving grandmother of Catarina Pottle and her fiancé Aramys Ttousios and Emily Bass.

June is also predeceased by loved one's sister-in-law Nancy Hallstrom, her treasured niece Laura Smith and lifelong friends Ginny Mahoney and Deb Hagman.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday May 20th, 2026 in the Barile Cota Family Funeral Home 335 Park St. North Reading from 4 pm to 7 pm. Parking attendants available.
