Karen C. (O'Neil) Daly

Karen C. (O'Neil) Daly, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Monday November 11, 2024. She was 79 years of age. 

Karen was born on May 5, 1945 in Winthrop, a daughter of the late Francis and Claire (McGough) O'Neil. Raised in Winthrop she was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Revere. She married James F. Daly on November 23, 1968 in St. John the Evangelist Church in Winthrop and they have been residents of Stoneham since June of 1970.

Prior to her marriage she worked as a clerk at New England Telephone Company and then stayed at home to raise her children. Karen later returned to work and was the longtime manager of Blockbuster Video in Stoneham for many years

Karen had an interest and as a result a natural talent in photography. In early years, 1960's, she was a roller-skating champion in the State of Massachusetts. She remained a lifelong New England sports enthusiast and fan.

Karen is the beloved wife of James F. Daly. She is the cherished mother of James F. Daly Jr. and his wife Erin, Janet E. Daly and Kevin P. Daly. She is the loving grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 3. Dear sister of the late Kenneth C. O'Neil and sister in law of William E. Daly and his late wife Jane, the late Leo T. Daly and his late wife Ann and the late Patricia Ready and her late husband John. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Karen's Eternal Life will be held in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. STONEHAM on Tuesday November 19th, 2024 at 10 am. Please meet directly at the church. Interment will be private.
