Katheryn M. Smith of Virginia, formerly of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006. She was 85 years of age.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, Katheryn was the beloved daughter of the late Jerimiah and Florence (Doucette) Doucette. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all.
Katheryn was a resident of Reading for 70 years and attended Reading High School. She was a dedicated homemaker. She loved her family, gardening, her dogs and especially loved attending the Knights of Columbus dances with her husband Jim.
Katheryn was the beloved wife of the late James H. Smith. She was the devoted mother of Betty Parker of Virginia. Dear sister of Robert Doucette of FL, Paul Doucette of Reading, Edward Doucette of N. Reading, Phyllis (Doucette) Heinstrom of Reading, Jean (Doucette) Jurgens of Cape Cod, Ruth Doucette of Reading Janice Bunker of N. Reading and the late Richard Doucette, Mary Boyne, Florence Cucurullo, Mildred Doucette, Elaine LeClaire and Linda Meuse.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Katheryn's life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading
