Kathleen M. (Evans) Trevor, of Stoneham, passed away on Thursday February 5th, 2026 with her family by her side. She was 84 years of age. She lived a life rich in love, laughter, and a profound sense of family, leaving a legacy that will forever shine and live in the hearts of her loved ones.
For her entire career, Kathleen dedicated herself to teaching, imparting knowledge and inspiration to countless students. Her devotion to education was not just a profession but a calling, one that resonated deeply within her family. Kathleen’s passion for teaching inspired not only her daughter but also two of her cherished grandchildren, who have followed in her footsteps, carrying forth the torch of knowledge and guidance.
Kathleen's greatest joy, however, was in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was most happy when surrounded by her children and grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. The laughter and warmth shared during Trevor family gatherings were the moments she treasured most; these experiences filled her heart with unparalleled happiness.
Kathleen was a strong and a devoted family-oriented woman, finding the greatest joy in the company of her loved ones. She celebrated holidays with unparalleled enthusiasm, always ensuring that the gatherings were abundant with delicious food and warmth. Her cooking skills were fantastic; she took immense pride in hosting family celebrations, where she would prepare a bounty of dishes that over-filled the table.
Kathleen had a special love for dining out, often enjoying one of her favorites such as chicken parmesan, pizza, or a simple serving of fries. Every meal became more than just food; each outing to restaurants was an opportunity to enjoy the company of those she loved. And no matter the meal there was always room for some ice cream(Brigham's Mocha Almond) for dessert each evening.
Traveling was another passion for Kathleen, who enjoyed exploring new places and creating lasting memories. During her college years, she embarked on adventures with her friend Marcia, which included a memorable road trip across the United States and a journey through Europe. These experiences were a testament to her spirit and her love for life.
Before her husband’s passing, Kathleen found immense joy in their adventures together, traveling and experiencing the beauty of the world they jointly created. Their bond was unbreakable, and during the challenging times of his battle with cancer, Kathleen’s unwavering support truly shined. She stood by his side, embodying strength and unwavering love, showcasing the profound commitment they shared throughout their lives.
She was known for her generous heart, always willing to give gifts and spread joy. She never knew the meaning of a "lean" Christmas as the large garbage bags full of so many presents were brought out each Christmas. Her laughter, love, and joy were infectious, and her family will forever cherish the moments spent together during the holidays, family get togethers (Trevor-Palooza), and meals with her out at a restaurant.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, with whom she shared countless precious moments and memories. Kathleen's greatest happiness stemmed from being surrounded by her family, and they will continue to honor her legacy through the love and bonds she fostered. Her family and friends will forever remember her gentle spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering support.
Kathleen was the wife of the late Lawrence Trevor for 56 years. She is the cherished mother of Michael Trevor, Brian Trevor and his wife Jennifer, Nancy Drees, and Kristen Corso and her husband David. Loving grandmother of Alyssa, Kevin and Ashlyn Corso, Jack and Danielle Drees and Kelsey and Devin Trevor. Sister of Robert Evans and his wife Kathy.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Saturday February 14th, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Kathleen's Eternal Life at 12. Parking attendants and elevator available.
