Kathryn (Hanrahan) Sabia of Melrose, formerly of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at her home. She was 57 years of age.





Born in Mineola, New York, Kathryn was the loving daughter of Marguerite (Marshall) Kelly of Bridgewater and the late Francis Hanrahan. Kathryn was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed.





Kathryn was a dedicated Registered Nurse for many years. Her true love was for her family. They were first and foremost in her life. Kathryn's life was centered around her family and children. Her love for them went unparalleled. Kathryn's children were the center of her life.





Kathryn was the beloved wife of Peter Sabia. She was the devoted mother of Howard Marcley and his wife Billie Jean of Tewksbury, Amy (Marcley) Donabedian and her husband David of Middleton, Joseph Sabia and his wife Karen of Winthrop, Alexandra Dube and her husband Michael of Wakefield. Kathryn was the cherished grandmother of 7. She was the dear sister of Peg Foley of North Easton, Laura Goldstein of Newton, Joyce Wade of Farmington, Connecticut, Linda Hanrahan of Abington and the late Lisa Hanrahan.





Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Kathryn's life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
