Kenneth E. Smith, of Reading, passed away on Friday February 15, 2008 at the Winchester Hospital. He was 70 years of age.
Born in Rochester, New York, Kenneth was the son of the late Howard and Antonette (Dunckhurst) Smith.
Ken was a resident of Reading for many years. He was a member of the Reading Knights of Columbus Council 1031 in Reading for 25 years. He loved traveling to New Hampshire with his family. He was a proud resident of the Totem Pole Park in New Hampshire.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.
Ken was the beloved husband of Judith M. (VanHorn) Smith. He was the devoted father of Christian and Timothy Smith of Uxbridge, Katherine Smith of Reading, and Isabella. Ken was the loving grandfather of Matthew Smith. He was the dear brother of Peter Smith and his wife Gail of Somerville and Cathy Stanton and her husband Richard of New York. Ken was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Kenneth's Life in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking Attendants will be available.Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
