Kurtt Holtsberg of Wakefield, formerly of Reading passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Wakefield on August 30th, 2018. He was 45 years young.
Kurtt grew up in Reading and moved to Wakefield in his early teens. He attended Wakefield High School and N.E. Vocational Tech. After graduation Kurtt went into the building trades, starting out as a concrete form laborer. He loved to work with his hands. Over the years Kurtt became very proficient in the planning and execution of the construction projects of which he was involved.
For the past twenty years Kurtt has been a very talented and respected heavy equipment operator. He developed many lifelong friendships throughout his diverse career. Though his work life and social life sometimes intertwined he also really enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, motor sports and of course THE BRUINS.
Beyond Kurtt's many close and devoted friends. He leaves beloved parents Carl and Elizabeth DeSisto, lovely daughter Nicole Holtsberg-Bell, adoring girlfriend Krissie Cardile and wonderful sisters Melissa and Kimberly DeSisto. As well as his admiring nieces and nephews Leah, Cameron, Joshua, Matthew, Sadie and Kian. Along with his loving aunts Valerie, Brenda, Paula, Patricia and numerous uncles and cousins.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday, September 6th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Kurtt's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family Wednesday, September 5th from 5-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
