Laurence W. Lapham

Laurence W. Lapham, Sr. of Groton formerly of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Emerson Hospital. He was 88 years of age.
Laurence was a man who valued family, country, and integrity in dealing with people. Veteran of WWII, husband, father, student, businessman and entrepreneur. Through a long career with Gilchrist Co., Tufts Medical Center and independent work he nurtured and exercised a vast array of skills and qualities, physical, interpersonal, and intellectual which he shared with many. He will be remembered and missed by all.
Laurence was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis A. (Manning) Lapham. He was the devoted father of Larry Lapham, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Billerica, Wayne R. Lapham and Dean F. Lapham, both of Groton. Laurence was the cherished grandfather of Richard Lapham of CT. He was the dear brother-in-law of Lois Gray of FL and the loving uncle of Diane Reeves, Jeffrey Gray and Dana Gray.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please honor Laurence by making donations in his memory to the Emerson Home Care, 310 Baker Ave., Concord, MA 01742.
