Lawrence E. Mellen

On January 2, 2017, Lawrence E. Mellen passed away after a long illness at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Wakefield, MA.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Roberta (Walker) Mellen. Lawrence was the devoted father of Cynthia Salow and her husband Richard, Teresa Deane and her husband Samuel Deane, III and Heather Tichacek and her husband John. He was the cherished grandfather of Katherine and Matthew Salow, Julia, Hannah and Samuel Deane and Lauren, Amy and Molly Tiachacek.
Lawrence was a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1959 in Chemical Engineering, a Master's Degree from Union College, Schenectady, New York in Industrial Administration. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Thursday, January 5th from 4-6pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
