Lawrence F. Reddington

REDDINGTON, Lawrence F., Jr. - of Stoneham, formerly of Everett and Malden on December 1, 2007. Devoted husband for 61 years of Mary Rita (O'Reilly) Reddington. Lovingly supportive son of the late Lawrence F. Reddington, Sr. and the late Catherine Ann (McDougall) Reddington. Taxing father of Catherine, Dale, Dennis, Kevin and Brian. Rambunctious grandfather of 7 and proud great-grandfather of 3. Exemplary brother of Harold, Jessie and Donald. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy and was an honored crewman of the USS McNulty who served in the Pacific Theater in WWII. By daily example he shared a sense of commitment to and responsibility for his family, an unabashed devotion to his country and its political processes, a love of reading and word play, a dedication to unending education and an appreciation of the value of laughter - especially at oneself. His athletic talent and knowledge of sports endowed his grandchildren with soft hands, quick swings and an encyclopedic accumulation of statistics. Anchors Aweigh! Interment will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be donated in Lawrence's name to the USO, USO World Headquarters, Department WS, PO Box 96860, Washington, DC 20090-6860.
