Lawrence P. Silva of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge. He was 70 years of age.
Born in Somerville, Lawrence was the loving son of the late Josephine (Liddell) and Gabriel Silva. Lawrence was a warm and caring son, brother, uncle, papa and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Lawrence was a dedicated truck driver. He was a member of the Truck Drivers Teamsters Union. He loved his family. Lawrence was a member of the American Legion in Stoneham and during the Korean War, he proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Air Force.
Lawrence was the loving brother of Joanne Pappalardo of Sotneham, Dorothy Vieas and the late Robert and William Silva. He was the uncle of Patrice Blauvelt and her husband Steven of Stoneham. Lawrence was the Papa of Dean, Colby, Sophie-Jo and Ross.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Lawrence's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please honor Lawrence by making donations in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
