Lena "Lee" Irene Cimini, age 100 of Stoneham, on November 14, 2018
Lee was born in Pittsfield on January 18, 1918, one of six children of the late Joseph Novaris and Maria (Cociglio) Novaris. Lee graduated from Pittsfield High school in 1935 and on October 9, 1944, married Henry Franklin Cimini (9/10/2000). They made their home in Brookline for 50 years and raised two loving sons, Franklin of Stoneham and Paul of Salem.
Lee was a homemaker and worked part time at the Boston Convention and Tourist Center for 20 years. Lee loved taking long walks with her husband and friends, and you would often hear her cheering on her favorite Boston Red Sox and Patriots. She was a Red Cross nurse's aide and blood bank volunteer since 1942 and later in life she volunteered at the local senior centers. Lee was a great lover of books and spent many quite hours reading in her favorite chair.
Lee returned to Pittsfield in 1995 and renewed many friendships until 2016 when she decided to join her son Frank and daughter-in-law, Melanie (St.Germain) in Stoneham.
In addition to her two sons, Mrs. Cimini is survived by her grandson Alexander and his fiancé Kalene LaForest, granddaughters Melanie Relerford and Michelle O'Brien, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
