Leo C. Curran of Stoneham passed away on August 20, 2006 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center. He was 86 years of age.
Born in Boston, Leo was a resident of Stoneham for many years. He was a Civilian Dispatcher for the Stoneham Police Department. Mr. Curran was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus for many years. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all.
Mr. Curran was the beloved husband of 61 years to Margaret M.(Buckley) Curran. He was the devoted father of Leo C. Curran Jr. and his wife Terry of S. Yarmouth, Matthew Curran of Fayetteville GA, and Valerie Stasiak and her husband Andrew of Reading. Leo was the cherished grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 1and the dear brother of Donald Curran of FL, Jean Antonellis of Avon and Joan O'Laughlin of South Weymouth.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Leo's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
