Lillian M. (Arsenault) Maillett of Reading passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the age of 93.
Born on July 8, 1921 in Reading, Lillian was the loving daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Martin) Arsenault. Lillian was a warm and caring mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Lillian was devoted to her family and married to the love of her life for 56 years. She was a very social woman who enjoyed bowling or a great game of cards or cribbage. Lillian loved to vacation on the beautiful beaches of the seacoast of Maine, especially at Old Orchid Beach. Religion and community were very important to Lillian. She was a devoted member of Saint Agnes Church where she acted as the secretary of the Catholic Daughters and taught CCD for many years.
Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Raymond P. Maillett. She was the devoted mother of Joyce Paquette, Janet Fitzmeyer, Alan Maillett, David Maillett, Ann Gentile, Gail Maillett and Glen Maillett. She was the cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Lillian was the dear sister of Roy Arsenault and Edith Freeman. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Lillian's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading, at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home.
