Lillian E. (Cunningham) Tammaro, of Stoneham, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at the Melrose - Wakefield Hospital, Melrose.
Born in Cambridge, Mrs. Tammaro was a longtime resident of Stoneham.
Lillian had many hobbies she enjoyed. She loved flowers and bird watching. She was an avid sports fan for many years. Her family was first and foremost in her life and she loved being together on holidays. Lillian devoted her life to her family. Her warm and friendly smile reflected the wonderful friendships she made over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt and will be missed by all.
Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Alfred C. Tammaro. She was the loving mother of Al and Jeannie Tammaro of Malden, Philip Tammaro of Somerville, Michelle Tammaro of Stoneham, Robert Tammaro and Tricia Feeney of Somerville, Joe and Sheila Tammaro of Billerica, Bill and Patty Tammaro of Burlington, and John and Beth Tammaro of Dedham. She was the sister of Margaret "Peg" Preston of Somerville. Lillian was the cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (Rte. 28) STONEHAM on Friday 4-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central Street, Stoneham on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham MA.
