Linda J. (Comer) Robbins

Linda Justine (Comer) Robbins of Melrose passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Care Dimensions in Lincoln, Massachusetts.  She is 74 years of age.

Born on Monday, May 24, 1948, Linda is the loving daughter of the late Edward Comer and Mary (Tarasuk) Comer.  Linda is a warm, kind and gentle daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be truly missed.

While growing up in Stoneham, Massachusetts, Linda attended Saint Patrick’s School and graduated from Stoneham High School in 1966.  Linda had a very strong work ethic.  She worked well over 30 years at CDI in Melrose until that company was acquired by Microsemi in Lawrence and she remained with that company until her retirement.  Linda also worked at the Hilltop Steakhouse for many years.  In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to Neil Diamond and watching re-runs of “I Love Lucy”.  Linda was also a big fan of documentaries relating to historical events.

Linda is the beloved mother of Ann Russo, Kelly Meehan, Katie Hocker and her husband Kevin and Stephen Robbins and his wife Shawna.  The cherished grandmother of Marisa D’Agati and her husband Jason, Nicholas Russo, Selena Hocker, Jessica Meehan, Joseph Meehan Jr., Alexis Robbins and Mila Robbins, Linda is the doting great grandmother of Alessia M. D’Agati.  She is the sister of Janice Tribble and her husband Robert and Michael Comer and his wife Joanne.  Linda is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM, Saturday, October 1st at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Linda’s Eternal Life in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham at 10am.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Linda’s Family on Friday, September 30th from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Linda’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
