Linda M. (Rufo) Earle, 69, passed away on Friday, June 23rd, 2017
after a long battle with cancer. She confronted her illness with
optimistic determination and unwavering courage. As a survivor, Linda
lived each day to the fullest and never took anything for granted. She
persevered through adversity and left the legacy of her love, strength
and courage to her family.
Born on February 13, 1948, Linda grew up in Malden and was a graduate
of Malden High School. She and her husband, Albert Earle, moved to
Stoneham in 1976. Linda became an active member of the community. A
loving mother to four sons, Linda dedicated herself to volunteer work
at Colonial Park Elementary School, where she worked for 14 years.
Linda was also very involved in Stoneham's Cub Scout program. Linda
later became a receptionist at a local tax firm, where she truly
enjoyed her work and her colleagues.
Linda loved socializing and keeping in touch with old friends. She
enjoyed organizing her class reunions. She brought a smile to all her
friends on Walsh Ave. The tight-knit neighborhood was like family, and
she cherished the social gatherings, 4th of July parties, and the
close friendships she maintained through the decades.
Linda was devoted to her family and found great happiness in the
simple things such as family dinners, birthday gatherings and
holidays. Linda loved singing and dancing to Kenny Rogers songs, and
his concerts brought her such joy. She and her husband were married
for 45 years, and she loved her walk through life by his side.
Linda was the beloved wife of Albert W. Earle; the daughter of the
late Anthony and Graciella (Constantino) Rufo; loving mother of Bryan
Earle, Kevin Earle and his former wife Kerry Lewis, Todd Earle and his
husband Jody Murray and David Earle and his wife Kathryn; grandmother
of Emily Earle and Matthew Earle and sister of Robert Rufo and his
wife Ann; she was also the aunt to many loving nieces, nephews, and
great nieces.
