Mom passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Center Hospice House, Danvers, on August 30, 2015. The most important thing in her life was family. She loved taking care of her 12 children and several grandchildren.
Mom had an angelic voice and used that talent as a soloist for over 40 years at Saint Patrick Church, Stoneham, singing at funerals and requiems. When she retired at age 83 many people still requested her to sing, but with great reluctance, she refused.
She was a great Italian cook and baker who spent a significant part of her day preparing meals. When we were in school, Mom made 12 school lunches by placing them in brown paper lunch bags on the table and lined up the bags in order from youngest to oldest. She never failed to include a freshly homemade desert.
Mom had a great sense of humor and loved to be the target of deprecating humor by her children. It was her children's way to demonstrate how much we enjoyed and loved her.
Mom is at peace now and we will sorely miss her!
Mom is survived by her children, Joan and Edward Barry, Mary and Don Berube, Henry and Marcia Rigler Kelly, Joseph Kelly, Dennis and Jackie Kelly, Tom and Beverly Kelly, Paula and Robert Georgette, David M. Kelly, Kathy and Robert DiCarlo, Peggy Gleason and Robert and Marianne Kelly, plus her several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grand-child.
