Linda H. (Laetsch) McFarland of Reading passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Wilmington. She was 97 years of age.
Born in Stoneham, Linda lived most of her life in Washington, DC, before moving to Reading. Linda was a warm and caring daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Linda was a lady who loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Linda was an avid hiker, skier and swimmer.
Linda was the loving daughter of the late Charles F. Laetsch and Ellen (Murray) Laetsch. She was the beloved mother of Warren McFarland of Reading. Linda was the dear sister of Robert Laetsch and his wife Barbara of Maine and the late Dorothy LaSell, Alice Leary, Elwin Laetsch, Charles F. Laetsch Jr., Harold Laetsch.
A Funeral Service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Thursday at 11am in the Chapel of the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Wednesday 6-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
