Linda J. VanBuskirk

Linda J. Van Buskirk, age 74, passed away on April 11, 2022 in Venice, Florida. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 16, 1948 to William and Elva Heavey.

 Linda graduated from Mission High School in 1965. She met and married the love of her life, John Van Buskirk, in 1987. They lived and raised their family in Reading, Massachusetts before settling in Venice, Florida. She worked at Sarasota Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2010.

Linda enjoyed traveling, dancing, and most importantly, spending time with her friends and family as well as spoiling her puppies, Chief and Cleo.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and Mimi, whose infectious spirit and energy touched everyone she met.

Linda was predeceased by her parents William and Elva Heavey and her son Dennis Lehane. She is also predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband John Van Buskirk, children Christine Miceli, Paul Lehane and his wife Dorothy, Mike Lehane and his wife Michelle; as well has her eight grandchildren Jessica Miceli, Nicholas Miceli, Ashley Lehane, Kaitlyn Lehane, Emily Lehane, Ryan Lehane, Kiley Lehane and Ashlyn Lehane. She is also survived by her brother Arnold Heavey; and Callie Di Vico as well as many friends and family.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with Linda's family on Saturday, June 18 at the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St., READING from 10am-12pm. A Funeral Service Celebrating Linda’s Eternal Life will be held at 12pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment to immediately follow at Wood End Cemetery in Reading.
