Lois Crowley

Lois (Holland) Crowley of Reading passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 in Scituate. She was 79 years of age.

Born in Boston, Lois was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anne (Cotter) Holland.

Lois was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a resident of Reading for 36 years and very active in church and the schools. Lois obtained her college degree at the age of 55 and was very proud of this accomplishment. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Lois was the beloved wife of the late John Crowley. She was devoted mother of Maureen Thompson and her husband Robert, Christopher J. Crowley and his wife Jeannette and Douglas J. Crowley. Lois was the cherished grandmother of Chase Crowley and Lauren Crowley. She was the loving sister of Elaine Bailey, Jacqueline Fougere and her husband Donald and the late Virginia Kyle, Jean Barbera and Ann LaFrance. Lois is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Lois' Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 4:00-800 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
