Louis W. D'Angelo

July 15, 1937 — November 15, 2021

Mr. Louis "Lou" W. D'Angelo, of Stoneham, passed away on Monday November 15, 2021. He was 84 years of age.

Louis was born on July 15, 1937 in Everett, son of the late Rocco and Rose (Mastrocola) D'Angelo. A 1955 graduate of Everett High School he honorably served in the United States Air National Guard.

He married Rosalie P. Roselli on October 24, 1959 in the Immaculate Conception Church in Medford and recently celebrated their 62nd anniversary.

Louis's work career began as an oil burner technician for Master Fuel Company and later as a plumber for Lynhurst Plumbing & Heating Co. in Saugus as well as serving as a firefighter for 20 years with the City of Everett at the Central Station. Upon retirement he earned his Real Estate License and worked as a broker for many years with Colonial Manor Real Estate in Reading until his retirement.

A member and former treasurer of the Everett Fireman's Association, he was also a member of the American Legion-Nabnasset Post #437 and the Knights of Columbus Council 763 in Everett.

As the father of four sons, Lou enjoyed spending time at various sporting events supporting the boy's childhood activities, especially the 6am ice time at the MDC outdoor rink.

Lou and Rosalie enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Whether playing cards or going out for dinner and dancing Lou was the life of the party, known as "twinkle toes" to some.

The couple were fortunate to have traveled to Florida over many years to escape the cold as well as abroad to Europe on several trips.

Traveling to the destination of choice was Lou's most memorable and long lasting passion.
Founded in 1947 "The Cottage" in Westford, MA was the ultimate meeting place for family and friends. Cookouts, swimming, horseshoes and riding in Lou's childhood boat, the 1956 Aristo Craft Torpedo 14 was the thrill of the day--still in service to this day.
