Louis T. Meier

September 10, 1926 — April 6, 2013

Louis T. Meier, of Reading, passed away on Saturday April 6, 2013 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was 86 years old.





Born in Everett, Louis was the son of the late Alvin and Catherine (Merigan) Meier. Louis was a loving son, brother, husband, father, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.





Louis loved to play games. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards with his family. He loved going on trips to Foxwoods with his wife and friends. In addition to Foxwoods, he loved to go on cruises. He went on four cruises throughout his life. He was an avid reader of the Boston Globe, reading it from cover to cover daily. Louis favorite athlete was Derek Jeter and he was a big fan of the New York Yankees.





Louis was the beloved husband of Judith M. (Warnock) Meier. He was the loving father of Michael Meier and his wife Sally of North Carolina, Cynthia Warnock of Woburn and the late Kevin and Thomas Meier. He is also survived by many grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews. Louis was the brother of the late Alfred, Matthew, and Joseph Meier.





Family and friends are kindly invited to a Celebration of Louis' Life in the Chapel of the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday at 11am. Visiting hours will be one hour prior from 10-11am. Parking attendants and handicapped access available. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
