Louis C. Tarantino, age 52, of Wakefield, formerly of Stoneham, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved son of Aurora (Cirigano) Tarantino of Wakefield and the late Florio A. Tarantino. Born in Winchester and raised in Stoneham, he had lived in Wakefield for the past 5 ½ years. He was a graduate of Stoneham High School, and attended Middlesex Community College.
Louis had worked as a furniture and store fixtures designer at his family's business, the former Paramount Manufacturing Company of Wilmington and the former Dinette World of Danvers. He was an avid fisherman and boater and enjoyed all sports.
He was the devoted father of Louis F. and Mikayla Tarantino; devoted grandfather of Daniel Guichard, all of Nashua, NH; cherished brother of Joseph J. Tarantino and his wife Diana, and Carl F. Tarantino and his fiancé Deborah Dango, all of Stoneham, and the late Angelo F. Tarantino; also survived by the mother of his children; Linda (Biamonte) Tarantino of Nashua, NH, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including Joseph A. and Michael A. Tarantino and Brianna and Michael Rogers.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28), STONEHAM, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Louis' Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Monday November 25, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
