Louise A. (McDonald) Cavanaugh of Reading, formerly of Everett, passed away on July 9, 2015 at the age of 99. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Louise was an avid sports fan loving her Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She enjoyed knitting and sewing. Louise was previously employed with Robert Hall, a clothing store in Chelsea and Schrafft's in Charlestown.
Louise was the beloved wife of the late Frederick L. Cavanaugh. She was the devoted mother of Frederick, Jr. and his wife Kathleen (Melanson) Cavanaugh. Louise was the cherished grandmother of Timothy J. Cavanaugh and his wife Taylor, Kristen M. Cognetti and her husband James, Matthew J. Cavanaugh, Erin T. Brown and her husband Stephen and Patrick J. Cavanaugh. She was the loving great-grandmother of Eloise, Milly, Cavan and Isla. Louise was the dear sister of the late Eugene, Francis and her twin Leonard.
Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Funeral Home 11 Linden Street READING, Monday, July 13th at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Louise's Eternal Life in Saint Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Sunday, July 12th from 2-6pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available.
