Louise P. (Montagna) Cloutier of Tewksbury, formerly of Stoneham passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She is 94 years of age.
Born on Monday, March 21, 1927 in Cambridge, Louise is the loving daughter of the late Antonio Montagna and Mary (Biancamano) Montagna. Louise is a warm, kind and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born and raised in East Cambridge, Louise graduated from Cambridge High & Latin in 1944. After secretarial school, Louise went on to work as a Secretary and Receptionist for the Dowd Paper Company for almost 25 years. Louise and Don were married on July 6, 1952, remaining devoted to each other for 66 years until Don's passing in 2019. As a young married couple, they built their first home in Stoneham where they started their family, and where they resided for 51 years. As the children got older, Louise was employed by the Town of Stoneham, working as a 'lunch lady' in the cafeteria at Stoneham High School.
Louise and Don loved their annual month-long winter vacations to the West Coast, visiting Las Vegas and Arizona soaking up the dry arid air. Louise was known by her family as having a quick wit, lots of charm and always giving great advice. She enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, with the family, and was a great Italian cook. Louise was also an avid bingo player for over 15 years, while able to do so, attending weekly bingo held at the Tewksbury / Wilmington Elks, St. Williams Church in Tewksbury, and the Stoneham Boys Club.
Louise is the beloved wife of the late Donald Cloutier. She is the devoted mother of Diane Manory, Donald A. Cloutier and John Cloutier and his wife Rachel. The cherished grandmother of Alicia Lusignan, Aaron Lusignan, David J. Manory, Christopher Manory, Michelle Cloutier, Kristina Cloutier and Jack Cloutier, Louise is the dear sister of Anna Nardella and her late husband Louis, Anthony Montagna and his wife Marie and the late Rose Granata and her late husband John. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Louise's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at 12pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Louise's Family prior to the Service, beginning at 10am in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Saint Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
