MALCOLM, Lt. John, US Coast Guard (retired) of Reading February 2, 2007 at age 82. Loving and devoted husband of Sabine Yvonne. Cherished father of John C. and Debbie Malcolm, Diane Lampassi, Mary and Preston Buckley, Bill and Faith Sweeney, and Joyce Buckley. Loving grandfather of Carole, David, Jared, Matthew, Billy, Laura, Caitlin, Alicia, Colleen and Mikey and the late Mathew Lampassi. Great grandfather of Adrianna and Cassandra. Dear brother of Kathleen Simpson. Funeral from the Joseph Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING on Thursday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating John's life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Internment Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne MA. Lt. Malcolm was a combat US Navy veteran and survivor of Guadal Canal, Southwest Pacific, WWII. Late MBTA AC repairman and member of Carmene Union, Local #589. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of John may be made to Hospice Care, Inc. 41 Montvale Ave. Stoneham, MA 02180.
