Lucille Haddock, (Mary Anna Lucille Jean), of Melrose, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 30.
Lucille was 86 years old, born on July 2, 1928, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Lucille was the daughter of the late Zelia (Chabot) and the late Elsie Jean both of Canada. Lucille was married for 34 years to the Leroy Gordon Haddock; they were married on October 22, 1949 at St. James Church, Medford, Massachusetts. Lucille was predeceased by her husband Leroy, and daughter Leslie Carr. Lucille is survived by her daughters Lorraine Leahy and husband Jack, Luann Haddock and husband Eddie Colindres, Linda Kight and husband Jerry, Laurie Haddock and partner Richard, Lisa Palermo and husband David and son Roy Haddock and wife Debbie. Lucille was the fifth child of eleven children and is survived by her sister Florence Bouthiller and two brothers Albert Jean, and Roger Jean. Lucille is survived by her 11 grandchildren Michelle Carr Harris, Beth Carr, Joseph Carr, David Carr, Nicole Haddock, Tracy Haddock, John Jay Leahy, Christopher D'Amato, Christopher Pineau, Nathaniel Palermo and Nicholas Palermo, and 8 great grandchildren.
Lucille graduated from Medford High School, Medford Massachusetts. Lucille was a champion for the mentally disabled. She worked at Project Triangle in Malden, Massachusetts for many years. She started her custom hat knitting business and had many successful years traveling around Massachusetts selling her creations at craft shows. She enjoyed many years of sailing with her husband Leroy at Palmer Cover Yacht Club of Salem MA. She enjoyed summering in Wells Beach Maine, where she was an active member of the Board of Directors for the Moody Beach Association.
Lucille traveled the world and kissed the Blarney Stone. She was involved in many senior centers including those in Melrose, Saugus, Medford, Everett and Wells Beach Maine. She was an active member of many line dancing groups. Lucille loved water aerobics.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Lucille's Eternal Life will be held on Thursday, June 4th, 2015 at 11:00am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
