Lucy Phyllis Bomba

April 14, 1928 — October 29, 2005

Lucy Phyllis (Barbo) Bomba of Stoneham passed away Saturday Octoer 29, 2005 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 77 years of age.



Born in Newton, Lucy was the daughter of the late Leonard and Catherine (Fraumeni) Barbo. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.



Lucy was a dedicated homemaker for many years. She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother. Her family was of utmost importance in her life. She loved playing cards and was an avid bridge player.



Lucy was the beloved wife of Frank M. Bomba and devoted mother of Frank M. Bomba and his wife Theresa of Wakefield, Leonard J. Bomba and his partner Daniel Burns of NH, Michelle M. DiSangro and her husband Arthur of Saugus, Wendy A. Bomba Hogan of NH and Michael P. Bomba of FL. She was the loving and cherished grandmother of Jason Bomba and his wife Cindy, Jeremy M. Bomba, Brian Shepherd, Jessica Shepherd, Alison Bomba and Correy Burns and great grandmother of Lindsay and Joshua Bomba. She was the dear sister of Rosemarie Stanieich of Stoneham and sister in law of Concetta DeMarco and her husband Robert, Rosario Bomba and his wife Barbara, Elena LePordo and her husband Carl, Amy Gullotto and her late husband Peter, and the late Phyllis Fiandaca and James J. Bomba. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.



Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Lucy's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Monday 7-9pm & Tuesday 3-7pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
