Luis M. Garcia

Luis M. Garcia of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville and Sao Miguel, Azores, passed away on August 23, 2015 at age 73.

Luis is the beloved husband of Dolores (Soares) Garcia with whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage on August 30th. He is the devoted father of Rosemary Garcia Frost and her husband Michael, Nancy Teves and her husband John Teves, David Garcia and his wife Briana, and Sarah Garcia. Luis is the cherished grandfather of Jaden Teves, Lexie Frost and Gracelynn Garcia. Dear Brother of Etelvina Garcia, Venilde Pereira and Valdemira Botelho. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Luis was born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel. He served in the Forca Aerea Portuguesa. He was a lifelong mechanic. He loved fishing, playing cards and dominos, practical jokes and spending time with his beloved family-especially his granddaughters.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather share and memories with the Family in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM on Thursday August 27th from 4-8pm. A Funeral Service celebrating Luis' Eternal Life will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 28th at 11am.
