M. Virginia (Leary) Mahoney, beloved wife of 67 years to Walter Mahoney, passed away on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at the age of 88.

Affectionately known as Ginny, she is the devoted mother of Linda Carrabino and her husband Joseph, and Wally Mahoney and his wife Pamela. Beloved daughter to the late Dennis and Helen (Donavan) Leary.   Caring Nana of five grandchildren and great Nana to 10 great grandchildren and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Ginny was very involved with her church, teaching CCD for many years and was also a talented girl scout leader.  Ginny always had a warm and welcoming smile and a kind caring word for all.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading, (Corner of Park St and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 from 10am to 12pm.

Immediately following the visitation, a service to Celebrate Ginny will take place at the funeral home at 12:00pm.

Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
