Madeline S. (Scanga) Cullen

Madeline S. (Scanga) Cullen of Reading passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center. She was 95 years of age.

Born in Boston on December 6, 1919, Madeline was the daughter of the late Angela and Fred Scanga.

Madeline was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Madeline was the beloved wife of the late John Cullen. She was the devoted mother of Cristopher Cullen and his late wife Barbara. Madeline was the cherished grandmother of Holly Anderson and her husband Wade of Londonderry N.H. and Crystal Lee and the loving great grandmother of Nicholas Anderson, John Edward Anderson and the late Lee Matthews.

Funeral from the Doherty –Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Madeline's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available and handicapped entrance are available. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
