Madeline T. (Doherty) Reynolds of Stoneham passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was 92 years of age.
Born on July 31, 1922 in Melrose, Madeline was the loving daughter of the late William Doherty and Mary – Esther (McKenney) Doherty. Madeline was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Madeline was a member of Stoneham High School class of 1940. She worked for 12 years at National Company in Malden. Following that, Madeline later worked at Stoneham Public Schools as a Secretary. She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker. Family came first, always making time for everyone she loved.
Madeline enjoyed gardening, cooking and dancing. She loved her trip to Ireland and traveling to California, Florida, Germany and West Point. A devout Catholic, Madeline was very active at St. Patrick Church in Stoneham and was proud of her efforts to help fund raise to remodel the church.
Madeline was the beloved wife for 63 years of the late William E. Reynolds. She was the devoted mother of Carol Mucica and her husband Bill, Bill Reynolds, Jr. and James Reynolds and his wife Barbara. The cherished grandmother of Paul, Elizabeth and her husband Tom, James Jr., Matthew and Erin, Madeline was the dear sister of the late Catherine, Mary-Esther, William and Joseph.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Madeline's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator will be available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
