Manuel Rosario

Manuel Rosario, of Stoneham, passed away on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at the age of 85.

Manuel is the beloved husband of Maria Margarida Rosario He is the loving father of Maria Pereira and her husband Antonio and cherished grandfather of Olivia Pereira, the apple of his eye. Dear brother of Augusto Rosario and Maria do Carmo Oliveira. He is also survived by many loving relatives.

Manuel was better known by family and close friends as Miguel, and he took every opportunity to share the story behind his nickname. It was lovingly taken on after his father which is something he would share proudly with those who would listen. Manuel brought his wife and daughter to the United States in 1968 in hopes of fulfilling his "American Dream". He worked several jobs including Agriculturalist and Plasterer, but his favorite role was as purser on the boats transporting goods between the islands of Faial and Pico in the Azores. Manuel had a love for Portuguese history, he enjoyed swimming, making homemade white wine and listening to Portuguese "Fados" on Sunday afternoons.

Manuel's stories will live forever in the hearts of those closest to him.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with his family on Saturday July 31, 2021 from 8:30am - 9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. Stoneham followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Manuel's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Parish, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
