Margaret M. "Marggie" Barry

Margaret M. Barry of Medford, formerly of Melrose and Stoneham passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was 85 years of age.

Born on Saturday, November 26, 1938, in Medford, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late Clement A. Barry and Sarah (Lovell) Barry. Margaret was a warm, kind, gentle and loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be truly missed.

Marggie spent most of her adult life working for the Prudential Insurance Company where she was fortunate to meet Sheila Labadini who became her best friend over the past 59 years. Recently, Marggie resided at the Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where she enjoyed winning candy at bingo, Harry Potter and making new friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center especially the devoted staff of C Unit and the activities staff who ensured Marggie enjoyed the best possible quality of life and of course the hairdresser who ensured she always looked her best.

Margaret was the dear and devoted sister of the late Catherine Venezia, the late John Barry and the late Thomas Barry. She is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-law Ginny Barry, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will deeply miss her.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Mass Celebrating Margaret’s Eternal Life which will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10am in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street STONEHAM. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
