Margaret Ann (O'Riordan) "Pegann" Carleton of Reading died August 7, 2006.
Margaret was an avid dancer. She loved to dance. She was a veracious reader. Margaret was quite a conversationalist who had a way of making people feel comfortable and warm when they were with her. She enjoyed bowling. She was deeply involved in her children's lives while they were growing up. Margaret volunteered with numerous civic organizations and often helped with the elderly. She was a true and dear friend to all of her friends.
The cherished wife of 51 years to John E. Carleton; she was the adored mother of Mark Carleton and his wife Laurie of Westborough, Terese McInnis and her husband Vinny of Reading, Judi Alexander and her husband Doug of Harvard; and loving grandmother of seven. She was the dear sister of Paul O'Riordan and his wife Patty of New Hampshire and the late Maureen Rich.
The funeral will be held from the Joseph Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading on Thursday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Margaret's life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St.
