Margaret E. (Crawford) Edson

Margaret E. (Crawford) Edson, of Reading, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 21, 2015 at age 91.

Margaret is the beloved wife of Clarence R. Edson for 71 years. She is the devoted mother of Robert P. Edson and his wife Gayle, Peggy A. Edson and her loving companion Mitchell Sikora, James E. Edson and his wife Marcia, Rosemarie Edson and her husband David McColl, the late Thomas A. Edson and his surviving wife Joie, Richard M. Edson and his wife Kandi, June D. Edson-Frisiello and her husband David, John C. Edson and his loving companion Veronica Ekstrom and Matthew Edson and his wife Michelle. Cherished grandmother of twenty and great-grandmother of three. Loving daughter of the late James A. and Margaret M. (Walker) Crawford. Dear sister of James Crawford and his wife Pauline, the late Anna Kelly and her husband Albert, Verna Crawford, Adeline Tkachuk and her surviving husband Peter and John J. Crawford and his surviving wife Marlene. Also survived by former daughters-in-law Susan Moore Edson and Miriam Smith.

Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street, READING, Monday, October 26th at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Margaret's Eternal Life in Saint Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Sunday, October 25th from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available. Interment at Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.
