Margaret C. Farrar

June 17, 1921 — November 10, 2004

Margaret C. (Bangs) Farrar of Stoneham, formerly of Malden passed away on Wednesday November 10, 2004 at her home. She was 83 years of age.





Born in Chelsea, Margaret was the daughter of the late Edward J. Bangs and Mary E. (Shannon) Bangs. Margaret was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all. Margaret had a warm and gentle smile that embraced everyone who knew her.





Margaret began her career working for Kennedy Clothing in Boston. She continued her career by working for the First National Bank of Boston, before becoming a supervisor for National Shawmut Bank for many years.





A devout Catholic, Margaret was often seen at the 11:30am Mass at St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham. Margaret was devoted to her family. They were first and foremost in her life.





Margaret was the beloved wife of Robert C. Farrar. She was the dear sister of Beatrice Bangs of Melrose and Edward Bangs and his wife Betty of Marshfield. Margaret was the aunt of Patrice Dixon and her husband Allan of Stoneham, John Donovan and his wife Patricia of Andover. Margaret was also survived by several loving grand nieces and nephews.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 3-7pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
