Margaret (Shannon) Scouras

Margaret (Shannon) Scouras, of Reading, formerly of Garden City, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday October 30, 2026 surrounded by the love and comfort of her husband and sons. She was 67 years of age.

Margaret grew up in Elmont, New York, with her parents, Frank and Antoinette, and five brothers. Being the fourth of six children, she began caring for others early in life.

In addition to being an extraordinarily loving wife and mother, Margaret had a love for music and nature. She loved hiking with her husband and children. Side by side with her husband, she road tripped across America several times, visiting family and camping in many parks along the way.

Margaret is the beloved wife of Constantine “Dino” Scouras. She is the cherished mother of Christopher Scouras and his wife Nicole, James Scouras and his wife Andrea, and Thomas Scouras. Margaret is the loving grandmother of Jake, Maisie, Alexander and Nicholas. Dear sister of James Shannon and his wife Marylou, Kevin Shannon and his wife Elsa, Anthony Shannon, and the late Michael and Frank Shannon. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday November 6th, 2026 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Barile Cota Family Funeral Home 335 Park St. North Reading followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Margaret's Eternal Life at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
