Margaret T. (Sullivan) Eisenhaur, of Stoneham, died at home with her family at her side on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She is 88 years of age.
Margaret was born on November 30, 1934 in Northampton a daughter of the late Robert and Clare (Rodgers) Sullivan. A graduate of Malden Girls Catholic High School, she then graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing. She married Gerald E. Eisenhaur Jr. on August 22, 1959 in Immaculate Conception Church. Longtime Medford residents, they relocated to Stoneham in 2000. Gerald died on April 30, 2015 after 56 years of marriage.
Margaret worked in the operating room at Malden Hospital for over 40 years before retiring in 1996.
Margaret was an active member and parishioner of Saint Patrick’s Parish. A talented knitter, she belonged to the prayer shawl ministry and volunteered with counting the weekly collections. Margaret loved living in her condominium community where she was a much loved friend, neighbor and resident.
Margaret was a doting mother and grandmother. The role of mother and nurse went hand in hand and she was always caring for others. She loved the beach and their home on Drake’s Island in Wells, Maine. Margaret will long be remembered for being a phenomenal baker and sending numerous care packages to family and friends.
In addition to her husband Gerald, she was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Edward, Robert, A. Eugene and Donald Sullivan and Virginia Wilson.
She leaves her children, Gerald E. Eisenhaur III, Stephen E. Eisenhaur and his wife Patty, Mary C. Eisenhaur Donahue and her husband Tom, Therese M. Lawrence, Joan M. Bowen and her husband, John and David E. Eisenhaur and his wife, Julia; her grandchildren, Gerald IV, Jade, Samuel, Max, Hayley, Julien, Owen (Danielle), Nick, Lucas, Maya, Jessica and Samantha; 3 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Rosemary Sullivan also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28), Stoneham, on Saturday, December 10th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Margaret's Eternal Life in Saint Patrick's Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Margaret’s Family on Friday, December 9th from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
