Marguerite A. Markey of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 89 years of age.
Born in South Lawrence, Marguerite was the devoted daughter of the late Alice (McNally) Markey and John Markey formerly of Dover, NH. She grew up in South Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School, Class of 1938.
Marguerite worked for Arthur D. Little and Boston City Hospital Mallory Lab for over 50 years.
Marguerite was a warm and caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Marguerite was the dear sister of the late Thomas, John Markey, Marie Kane and Theresa Fitzgerald. She was the beloved aunt of Alice Sheedy and her husband John, William Fitzgerald and his wife Maureen, John Fitzgerald and his wife Patricia, Paul Fitzgerald and his wife Elizabeth Gould, Congressman Edward Markey and his wife Dr. Susan Blomenthal, John Markey and his wife Kim, Richard Markey and his wife Cynthia and Frank Kane. Also survived by many loving great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday from 10-11 am with a Funeral Service celebrating Marguerite's Life to follow at 11am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover, MA.
