Maria Luisa (Luongo) Aufiero

Maria Luisa (Luongo) Aufiero of Stoneham, formerly of Santa Paolina, Italy passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford. She was 89 years of age.

Born on December 1, 1927 in Torre le Nocelle, Italy, Maria was the loving daughter of the late Antonio Luongo and Julia Luongo. Maria was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed walking, cooking and socializing. Maria loved her family. Her favorite times were when everyone was together enjoying each other's company.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Bernardo Aufiero. She was the devoted mother of Antonio Aufiero and his wife Jennifer, Mario Aufiero and his wife Maria and Carmine Aufiero and his wife Margherita. The cherished grandmother of Marialuisa, Victoria, Miranda and Massimo Aufiero, Maria was the dear sister of Elena Damasco and her late husband Michele, Emilio Luongo and his wife Ada, Luigi Luongo and his wife Maria, Minerva Luongo and her husband Angelo and the late Ciriaco and Domenico Luongo and Laura Capone. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Maria's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St. Malden. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Mass, beginning at 8:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
