Maria (Fortuna) Lanteri

Maria (Fortuna) Lanteri of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at home.  She was 84 years of age.

Born on January 17, 1939 in Melilli, Italy, Maria was the loving daughter of the late Giuseppe Fortuna and the late Antonietta (Magnano) Fortuna.  Maria was a warm, loyal, kind & gentle, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.

Maria is the beloved wife of Nicola Lanteri.  She is the devoted mother of Carmela Lanteri – Ryan, Antonella Lanteri and Francesco Lanteri.  The cherished grandmother of Connie, Giuseppe, Nick, the late Francesco,  Brittany, Alexander and Nicholas.   Maria is the doting great grandmother of Louis and Kataleya. She is first of three sisters, Adele Di Mare, Rosa Pellegrino and the late Concetta Volpe.  Maria is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Maria’s Eternal Life will be held on Thursday, December 28^th at 10am in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street STONEHAM.  At the request of the Family, please meet directly at the church.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
