Maria (DiRico) Vozzo of Stoneham formerly of Everett passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Winchester Hospital, Winchester. She was 95 years of age.
Born in Orsogna, Italy, Mrs. Vozzo was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria DiRico. She was a resident of Everett for many years. She moved to Stoneham to live with her daughter Linda and son-in-law Antonio Galante 3 years ago.
Maria was a dedicated homemaker. She was a very giving lady always willing to help others. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She was the beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Vozzo. She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband Antonio Galante of Stoneham, her grandchildren, Joseph G. Galante, David V. Galante, Linda Galante-Tello, and her 7 loving great grandchildren. She was the sister of Assunta D'Ancona of Italy and the late Nicola Carullo, Raffaele DiRico and Norma Augusto and aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Sunday 4-8pm. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Everett. Donations in memory of Maria may be made to Hospice Care Inc. 41 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham, MA. 02180.
