Marianne T. (Peterson) Minghella

Marianne T. (Peterson) Minghella, 88 of Stoneham passed away on September 27, 2022, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Roslindale, MA to the late Thomas and Catherine Peterson where she remained until her marriage to the late Ernest F. Minghella.  They were fortunate to celebrate a blessed 50 years together raising their 3 children in Stoneham, Ma.

Marianne was a dedicated Children’s Librarian of the Stoneham Public Library for many years where she was adored by the children that attended her story hour.  Her warmth and friendly smile comforted many.

In her free time, she was a voracious reader and game enthusiast who was quick to befriend anyone who joined her and engage in delightful conversation.

Her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren of whom she was so proud and happy to share their accomplishments with anyone who would lend an ear.

Whether it be going for a ride in hopes of finding the best coffee ice-cream or a trip to Sephora for the latest make up, she was always up for an adventure.

Her children will miss her gentle presence, daughter Lynne Querzoli and her late husband Stephen, Thomas Minghella  and his wife Nancy and the late Stephen Minghella and his surviving wife Susan.  Cherished DeeDee to Stephanie and her husband Jamieson Vazquez, Lauren Querzoli, Eric and Brian Minghella, Katherine Minghella and her fiancé Drew Hayes and Alexandra Minghella. Auntie Marianne will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday September 30th from 9 am to 10:30 am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Marianne's Eternal Life in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 11 am. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery Stoneham.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marianne can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
