MARIE M. DeCOLA
Marie M. (Castagno) De Cola, of Stoneham, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center, Stoneham. She was 90 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frank and Columba (Mazzone) DeCola , Marie was born in Revere. She was a resident of Stoneham for many years.
Marie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and friend. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She was a member of the 209 Club, the 60 Plus Club and the Stoneham Senior Center.
Mrs. DeCola was the wife of the late Paul DeCola and is survived by her son, Nicholas DeCola, retired Captain of the Mass. State Police, and his wife Ann (Grimaldi) of Stoneham. She was the loving Nana of the late State Trooper Paul A.DeCola and his wife Lisa of Dracut, Patricia Prior and her husband Mass State Police Sgt. Richard Prior of Georgetown, Pamela Federico and her husband Rick of Newburyport, Peter DeCola, Lt. Com. U.S. Coast Guard, and his wife Elise of Attleboro and Paula Donahue and her husband Joseph of West Roxbury. She was the loving Grandmother of eleven great grand children and dear sister of the late Armand Castagno of Revere.
A Funeral Mass was held in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Tuesday, May 28th at 10 a.m. Interment was in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
