Marie T. (DeGeorge) Devereaux

Marie T. (DeGeorge) Devereaux of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 and was reunited with her beloved husband Donald who passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 7, 2024.  She was 88 years of age.

Born on Wednesday, June 12, 1935 in Boston, Marie was the loving daughter of the late Vincent DeGeorge and Carmella (Lepore) DeGeorge.  Marie was a warm, kind & gentle daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.

Marie was caring and nurturing, and her life was dedicated to her large family. She was creative and enjoyed crafting ceramics and knitting cozy blankets for family and friends.  She loved hosting and feeding her family, always telling someone to “make a plate!” and not allowing anyone to ever leave hungry.

Marie was the beloved wife for 66 years of the late Donald O. Devereaux.  She was the devoted mother of Don Devereaux and his wife Lisa, David Devereaux and his fiancé Liz Marchese, Theresa Shannon and her husband Joe, Lisa Bridge and the late Rich Devereaux.  Marie was the cherished “Grandma” of Kelli Cudmore and her husband Paul, Jamie Maguire and her husband Sean, Jack Devereaux, David Devereaux, Scott Shannon, Joe Shannon, the late Nick Shannon, John Bridge - Lopez and his husband Tito, Jennifer Fermin and her husband AJ and Jake Bridge. Marie was the doting great grandmother of Cole and Nina.  Marie was the dear sister of Phyllis MacDonald, Natalie Camela and the late Camille DeGeorge.  She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services for Marie are private.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Woburn Country Club on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 5-9pm.
