Marie Joanne (Martin) Hegarty of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at her home in Maine. She was 69 years of age.
Born in Boston, Marie was the loving daughter of the late George Martin and Estelle (May) Martin. Marie was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all.
Marie was a dedicated homemaker. She was a resident of Stoneham for 40 years and Maine for 7 years. Marie loved her family. They were first and foremost in her life. She loved to putter in her garden.
Marie was the beloved wife of F. David Hegarty. She was the devoted mother of David and his wife Kathy of Reading, Richard and his wife Beth of Woburn, George and his wife Cindy of Sanford, Maine, Judy and her husband Louis Giangrande of North Reading, Robert of Stoneham, Tim and his wife Carolyn of Woburn, Susan and her husband Stephen Columbus of Stoneham, Lisa and her husband Curtis Jacks of Kayt, Texas, James and his wife Nona of Christainburg, Virginia, Thomas and Mark, both of Stoneham, Joanne and her husband Christopher Mastroangelo of West Newfield, Maine, Sara of Sanford, Maine, Jason and John, both of Tempe, Arizona, and the late Andrew. Marie was the cherished grandmother of 29 grandchildren.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Marie's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
